We have implemented this form to protect ourselves from past guests whom have tried to scam us by having more guests than they booked for and we had some guests check out early for no reason and demanding a refund. Thank you for your interest in our vacation homes. This is the contact form for  Does Cottage only. This contact form contains our Rental Agreement Form. Please read carefully and if you agree fill out all the fields and submit and we will get back to you as soon as we can. You can also call us toll free at 209 379 2625 (This phone number is for Doe's Cottage only)only between the hours of 8am to 7pm West Coast Time. Any one renting our homes will be required to submit this form.

Rental Agreement Form for Doe's Cottage in Mariposa.

Please read and by filling out this form you agree to the following:

  1. Extra Guests: ALL extra guests that are not part of your original booking must be declared before your arrival. If guests arrive with more people in their party than the house allows, NO ONE will be permitted to enter the house, and NO REFUND will be issued. California Penal Code Section 537 makes it a crime to defraud the Innkeeper, and having more people in the house than you have registered is included in the provisions of this code. The El Capitan View as a maximum of  four (4) occupants and Does's Cottage has a maximum of 4 occupants (includes adults & children). There is parking for a maximum of two (2) cars at any one time.

  2. No extra or unregistered guests are allowed on the property at anytime, for any reason, disturbing the peace or any other illegal activity will result in immediate eviction without refund including complete forfeiture of all deposits.

  3. No deals, discounts, or refunds for any reason of any kind will be given. If you decide to leave early you will not get a refund.

  4. I agree to be environmentally responsible and turn off all heating and air conditioning while gone for the day. The owners reserve the right to enter the home to turn off the heating and or AC if left on while you are gone.

  5. CANCELLATION POLICY: If you decrease the number of days or people, change the date of arrival or departure or cancel for any reason with less than 30 days notice before your arrival date, you will be charged for the entire amount of your original reservation, plus tax. If we re-book your dates you will receive 100% return minus 10% processing fee.

  6. We understand that sometimes it is necessary to change or cancel a reservation; therefore we recommend that you purchase Vacation Rental Insurance to help protect your vacation investment. Troubles can occur when you least expect them, such as illness, medical emergencies, road closures, delayed flights, and lost baggage or passports, and force you to cancel or interrupt your trip. If you have any DOUBTS please purchase Insurance. Two companies offering insurance are Travel Insurance and CSA.

  7. To avoid basic cleaning charges you must follow the cleaning guidelines posted in the kitchen. As a condition of your received lodging, you agree to pay for any and all additional cleaning or damage charges incurred, and when necessary approve such charges against any credit cards provided to us.Your lodging facility will be provided to you clean and in good repair. You are expected to leave the facility in the same condition you found it. For everyone's protection after check-out, each facility is inspected and inventoried. Depending on the condition of the facility, you may be charged for additional cleaning or to cover the cost of damaged or missing items, even if this amount exceeds previously provided deposits.

  8. All lodging is of the "housekeeping" type, which means daily maid service is not provided

  9. Lodging facility owners, management, and employees are not responsible for accidents, injuries, or losses of any kind. As a condition of your received lodging, you agree to hold facility owners, management, and employees harmless from any and all bodily injury and/or personal property damage incurred.

  10. Our mountain environment can be extreme and unforgiving. Please exercise caution, use good judgment, be responsible, and be respectful of our natural setting and others who visit it.

  11. Sorry, but NO SMOKING is permitted on the property to ensure the overall quality and health of others, these policies are strictly enforced.

  12. NO PETS ALLOWED!

  13. All prices and policys are subject to change at any time.

  14. I understand that there is are no laundry facilities or internet at these properties.

I understand my responsibility as occupant and accept financial burden for any damages to El Capitan View Cabin or Does's Cottage caused by me or any member of my party. By signing below, I agree to pay the owners for repairs to El Capitan View Cabin or Does's Cottage in the event damages are caused by us during our stay; and I agree to pay replacement value for any items which are broken or lost to theft during my stay. Such damages will be reported to 209 379 2625.

Transient Occupancy Use Notice: I understand that the Municipal Code of the County of Mariposa prohibits transient occupants of lodging facilities from housing additional guests in a unit and that a violation of the provisions of this chapter is a violation of the Municipal Code subject to a civil penalty of not less than one hundred dollars ($100) for each day on which such violation occurs. I further understand that California Penal Code Section 537 prohibits the defrauding of innkeepers and that such fraud is punishable by a fine of up to one thousand dollars ($1,000) and/or by imprisonment in the State prison for up to three (3) years. I further understand that I am signing this declaration under penalty of perjury and that perjury is punishable under California Penal Code Section 126 by imprisonment for a period of from two (2) to four (4) years.

I declare that I have read the above provisions and that I sign this declaration with the full knowledge and understanding of the consequences of any violation of the laws noted above.
